| Banca Tiriac is the sole Romanian bank providing card operations under the logo of all five specialized institutions worldwide: VISA INTERNATIONAL, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DINERS CLUB and JCB. Banca Tiriac is a member of VISA INTERNATIONAL since 1992 and of MASTERCARD since 1995. Banca Tiriac is also an exclusive member of AMERICAN EXPRESS (since 1995), DINERS CLUB (since 1998) and JCB (since 1999). The bank is connected on-line with VISA INTERNATIONAL, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS.All cards issued by Banca Tiriac under the international brands VISA INTERNATIONAL, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS are accepted everywhere the logos of these cards are displayed. Banca Tiriac is the first and the only Romanian bank issuing a domestic co-branded card. The card is issued under the CIRRUS MAESTRO logo and is the result of the co-operation with SC METRO CASH & CARRY SRL. Banca Tiriac is continuously preoccupied to diversify the range of card products and attached services for both issuing and acquiring activity.Starting July 2002, Banca Tiriac the first bank in Romania to use a SINGLE account for cards and current account operations, as a result of the implementation of an on-line interface between the cards system and the core banking system of the bank.
